Q: How many passengers can ride in a gondola?
A: Each traditional Venetian gondola can carry up to
5 passengers comfortably.
Q: How long does the gondola tour last?
A: Shared gondola tours last approximately
50 minutes and include the
Gondola Gallery experience, a short walking introduction, and the gondola ride itself. A
private gondola ride lasts about
25–30 minutes.
Q: Is it necessary to book the gondola tour in advance?
A: Advance booking is not required but is
highly recommended, especially on weekends, during
Carnival, and in the
summer season. Booking ahead allows you to
skip the line and secure your preferred time slot.
Q: Will the gondolier sing or provide historical commentary during the ride?
A: Gondoliers do not sing or provide guided explanations unless you select a
serenade gondola tour. Their role is to professionally operate the gondola; commentary and singing are not included in standard services.
Q: What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
A: Gondola tours generally operate even in case of rain. Guests should always go to the
meeting point for check-in to receive real-time updates from our staff. If the tour is cancelled by the gondoliers due to weather conditions, a
full refund will be provided.
Q: Can I choose the gondola tour itinerary?
A: Yes, you can choose from our selected gondola itineraries, including:
- Routes through the San Marco canals, the Grand Canal, and near the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute
- The itinerary featuring the Bridge of Sighs

A: Children
up to 2 years old may join the gondola ride
free of charge.
Q: Where do the gondola tours depart from?
A: We offer multiple
meeting points and assistance locations throughout Venice. The exact meeting point is listed under
“Meeting Point” in your selected tour option. Please arrive
at least 10 minutes before departure.
Q: Do I need to print my voucher, or is a digital ticket accepted?
A: A
digital voucher displayed on your smartphone is fully accepted—printing is not required.
Q: What is the Gondola Gallery experience included in the tour?
A: Many tours include access to the
Gondola Gallery, an immersive exhibition dedicated to the history of Venetian gondolas. The experience features a
3D virtual journey through centuries of Venice, seen from aboard a gondola.
Q: Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
A: Yes. You may
cancel or reschedule your gondola tour up to
24 hours before departure to receive a refund.
